Two Arrested For Killing Buffalo At Mole Park

The Damongo Divisional Police Command in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region is holding two suspects for killing a buffalo inside the Mole National Park.

The suspects who have been identified as Mumin Baharu and Osman Ibrahim aka Vuga were arrested by the Rangers of the Mole National Park on Saturday, 9 April 2022.

According to reports available to DGN Online, the suspects are reported to have come from the Larabanga Community which is 5 Kilometres from Mole Park, and were on a normal patrol in the park when the Rangers heard gunshots and rushed to the scene.

The Rangers as gathered found a four-man team of Poachers, who had shot and killed a buffalo and were in the process of sharing it.

Meanwhile, the two poachers are alleged to have been on the wanted list of the Mole National Park for a while now due to their poaching activities as they have been handed over to the Police to assist in the investigation.
