Police Arrest Railway Sleeper Thieves

The Police in Juaso have arrested some persons in possession of railway sleepers last Monday.

Information available to the DAILY GUIDE indicated that the Juaso Police were told some young men were in the process of removing railway sleepers along the Diadieso stretch of the railway line.

Upon reaching the location, a police patrol found a Kia Rhino truck with registration number AS 7472 – 21 loaded with 119 rail sleepers and 71 pieces of damaged rail metals. A certain Baffour Samuel, aged 21, a driver’s mate who was keeping watch over the items, was arrested forthwith and vehicle towed to the police station for investigation to commence.

The police are on the heels of the other suspects in the case.
