The maiden edition of a newly introduced modeling TV reality show dubbed “Pose For Africa” on the theme: “Representing the true image of Africa” has been launched.

The launch ceremony which was held at the Sogakope Beach Resort was graced by a section of celebrities and the media.

The reality show was created to teach up-and-coming models how to make their place in the industry and highlight the beauty of African models.

It was also designed to stir up the passion and interest of modeling in Ghana, which over the years has dwindled to negligible level.

According to the organisers, they decided to start the show after they realised that a number of young Ghanaian ladies have what it takes to be fashion models, but needed tools and lessons to make it a real career.

Though the show will be aired on television, the organisers say it will also be available online for fans to watch.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive of ASKOF Productions, Mrs. Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, said the upcoming TV reality modeling show will rejuvenate the modeling business in Ghana.

According to her, the show would be a launch pad for many Ghanaian aspiring supermodels to pursue their career at the top level.

“We are staging this show to breed a new generation of supermodels in Ghana. We look forward to partnering with local fashion brands in order for us to showcase what we have and the ultimate dream is to make modeling an attractive venture for young models,” she said.

“The programme would be unique and one of the biggest shows to hit the screens soon,” she added.

Casting for the reality show has commenced, and aspiring models can visit this link (http://bit.ly/pose4africa) to register and participate in the show.

The reality show is powered by ASKOF Productions and produced by Ceejay Multimedia with support from Sogakope Beach Resort, Twinsdntbeg Photography and Freddie Studios.
