Potable Water For Gushegu, Saboba

President Nana Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured residents of Gushegu and Saboba in the Northern Region that they will start enjoying potable water by the end of November 2019.

While inspecting ongoing water projects in the two areas during his tour of the region, he said to the relief of the residents of the two towns that “running water will be at homes of residents at Gushegu and Saboba by the end of November 2019.”

The ongoing rehabilitation and expansion of the project estimated at GH¢9.5m should be completed to put an end to the painful water shortage which compels residents of the two towns to drink from unwholesome sources.

The President also inspected a smock-weaving facility at Gushegu and said that the industry had made the area famous. He charged the residents and players in the industry to work harder to make the place a tourist attraction. He addressed a durbar of chiefs hosted by the Paramount Chief of the Gushegu Traditional Area, Naa Abdulai Shitobu I. The chief lauded the Akufo-Addo administration for the massive developmental projects in the area.

The chief added that projects such as the construction of CHPS compounds, 1V1D, Gushegu Smock-Weaving Centre, the implementation of the Free SHS and Planting for Food and Jobs abound in the municipality.

He appealed to government to complete the GETFUND projects in the Gushegu Municipality.
