For 10 weeks, two representatives each from five selected schools, including Pax Pahosant International School, High Academy Standard, Springs of Life International School, Froebel Education Centre and Trinity Presby Model, competed for top honours at the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi.
The participants competed in areas such as cultural dance, poetry recital, cultural performance, storytelling, among others.
Rachael Owusu Duodu (Serwah) of High Academy Standard who came second received GH¢2,000 and other souvenirs, with her school taking away GH¢5,000 worth of advertising airtime. Abigail (Abena) of Pax Pahosant International School received GH¢1,000 and souvenirs for finishing third.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Royal TV, Mr Amankwa Agyeman, said the reality show would help promote and sustain Ghana’s rich culture, disclosing that the 2017 edition will be bigger in terms of participation and prize.
Gabriel Asare Bimpong, Coordinator of ‘Nyansapo’, expressed delight and satisfaction about the high patronage the event received, hinting that next year’s edition would be extended to include schools from the other regions in Ghana.
