S3fa Wins First International Award

Black Avenue Music signee, Sefadzi Abena Amesu, known in showbiz as S3fa, has won her first-ever international award after her musical breakthrough in 2017.

The afrobeat artiste won the category of ‘Best Ghanaian Female Artiste of the Year’ at the maiden edition of the virtual Global Music Award Africa (GMAA) held last Saturday, March 20.

The ‘Playa’ hitmaker beat the likes of Fantana, Cocotrey, Akiyana, Jayana, Tiisha, Queen Haziel, Kanea, and Yaa Jackson to win the category of best Ghanaian female act 2021.

S3fa, in an interview with BEATWAVES, expressed gratitude to her fans for their support since the beginning of her career, and also thanked the organisers of the GMAA for recognising her hard work under the 2020 year review.

She said, “I solely dedicate the award to my cherished fans for their support from 2017 to now, and winning the award means a lot to me. It’s my first international award, and I will make sure a win more for Ghana in the coming years, am very grateful.”

S3fa on November 24, 2020 launched her debut album titled ‘Growth’, featuring artistes such as Bisa Kdei, Wendy Shay, E.L, Fameye, Medikal, DopeNation, Sista Afia, Camidoh, and Praiz.

The ‘Growth’ album, which has enjoyed a major streaming on all the digital platforms, has popular songs such as ‘Wanti Wanti’, ‘Playa’, ‘Do Re Mi’, ‘Away’, ‘Makoma’, ‘Shuga’, ‘Sika Y3 Mogya’, ‘Magyi’, ‘Pepper’, ‘Ankonam’, and ‘Empress One’.
