Sarkodie, Others Honoured At 3 Music Awards

Celebrated rapper/hip hop artiste, Sarkodie, won five awards at this year’s edition of 3 Music Awards held last Saturday.

Organized by 3 Music Network, the awards ceremony was held to honour Ghanaian music icons for their commitment, hard work and commitment in their music career.

The Tema-based rapper also took home Hip Hop/Hiplife Act of the Year award, Music Man of the year, Fan Army of the Year, Best Rap Performance and Best Collaboration Award.

The event saw highlife/hiplife artiste, Kofi Kinaata, taking home two awards—Song of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year awards. He won both awards with his hit song, ‘Things Fall Apart’.

Popular dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, grabbed Digital Act of the Year award while Stonebwoy won Reggae/Dancehall Act of the Year award.

Female gospel artiste, Diana Hamilton, also took home the Gospel Act of the Year and the Female Act of the Year awards.

Afro beat singer, Efya, was honoured with the Best Female Vocalist award.

Because of the ban on public gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the awards ceremony was held with no audience and streamed on JoyPrime and other social media pages.
