Shatta Wale’s management has announced it indeed cancelled ShattaFest UK following a serious incident reported outside the event venue.
In a statement released by the Ghanaian dancehall artiste’s management, organisers said the decision was made with the safety and well-being of patrons as the top priority.
According to the statement, reports indicated that several people were injured, while there were also claims of a possible loss of life. However, organisers said they were awaiting official confirmation from the relevant authorities on the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Our thoughts and prayers remain with the individuals involved, their families, their friends, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking incident,” the statement said.
Management urged the public and the media to avoid speculation while investigations continue, encouraging everyone to rely only on verified information from the appropriate authorities.
The statement also commended emergency services, security personnel, medical teams, venue staff and others who responded swiftly to assist those affected.
Organisers further apologised to fans who had travelled to attend the event and thanked them for their patience and understanding during the difficult situation.
Shatta Wale’s management said the artiste and the entire Shatta Movement team would fully cooperate with the authorities and event partners as investigations continue.
They added that the focus remains on those affected by the incident rather than the cancelled concert.
