Former treasurer of the Power Queens Club, Sitsofe Sah, has been sworn-in as the new national president of the Electricity Company of Ghana’s (ECG) Power Queens Club.
The ceremony which took place at the ECG’s headquarters, Accra, also marked a significant milestone of the official launch of Club’s mobile App and website to strengthen their connections.
In her inaugural acceptance speech, Queen Sitsofe Sah expressed her deep gratitude for the trust and support of the Club members and vowed to continue empowering women within the ECG while driving unity and progress.
“Our strength lies in our togetherness and with this digital platform, we will strengthen our connections and empower each other to grow and I am committed to ensuring that the Power Queens Club becomes an even stronger force for women’s advancement within the ECG and across the nation,” she elaborated.
She stated that, she will foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration and mutual support, and also showed her commitment to ensuring that every queen knows her worth and as well as, having the opportunity to rise to their full potentials.
“We will continue our mentorship programmes to support younger members, provide professional development opportunities and create platforms for women to share their ideas, talents and dreams,”she assured.
She emphasised that, progress will come through togetherness and a collective strength of the club, however, it will require all to work hand-in-hand with aligned hearts and clear vision and build upon an incredible work to take the club to greater heights.
“As power queens, we will continue to lead with integrity, compassion and resilience,” she stated.
She expressed her profound gratitude to the past executives for their continuous support and promised to draw on the wealth of experience, knowledge and guidance of the past national President.
“I promise to lead with transparency, accountability and above all love and I will serve and listen to the queen’s needs, concerns and ideas as we chart the way forward today,” she pledged.
Deputy Managing Director of Engineering and Operations, Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Kwadwo Ayensu Obeng, speaking on behalf of the Ag Managing Director of ECG, said the Power Queen Club has been a pillar within the ECG.
He stated that, the club has served as a platform where women come together to demonstrate leadership, foster unity and drive positive change in the company and the broader energy sector.
He appreciated the outgoing National president of the Power Queens Club’s, Queen Doreen Carol Anning Gyebi, for her hard work, dedication and vision and her efforts in promoting the club to a greater height.
He also congratulated the incoming national president and the newly elected executives and urged them to lead with sincerity, integrity, love and transparency.
