Skysat Technologies Ghana Limited on Tuesday, September 25 held an exhibition on digital solutions in the country.
The event was also used to officially unveil the Accuriopress Color Series, a multipurpose smart digital printer with enhanced features manufactured by world leading Konica Minolta.
The exhibition was also aimed at enhancing document management and office archiving systems to avoid loss or damage of important documents in homes, offices and other places.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement System (GhIPSS) Archie Hesse, in his address, commended Skysat and its elite partner, Konica Minolta for such innovation.
He said the new digital printers offer a lot benefits since they have information storage capabilities.
He said that Ghana loses vital information in various offices on daily basis due to the lack of proper storage, adding that the machines would offer Ghanaians the opportunity to properly store important information.
“Being a person that has championed the cause of digital payment, the new machines come in handy as they keep records of each document printed or scanned,” he added.
Executive Director of Skysat, Ramzi Debs, disclosed that the expo was to launch new products from Konica Minolta onto the Ghanaian market.
He said the Accuriopress Color Series come with various new generation features such as automatic calibration, high speed scanning, among others.
“We have targeted various classes of people in society from the small printers used in homes and small offices to the heavy-duty printers used in the industrial labs and print houses,” Mr Debs said.
He revealed that the machines would be offered on lease and sold to interested clients, adding that the delivery can be made on same or in a period of two weeks depending on the type of the machine.
They also have the ability to scan and send documents into the email accounts of the user.
Corporate organizations will also be able to monitor the number of prints made by staff and will have a report on prints made at the end of the month on the new machines.
