Spare Parts Dealers Construct Abossey Okai Drains

A drainage system has been constructed to tackle the perennial flooding situation at Abossey Okai spare parts market in Accra.

The project was funded by the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association together with some philanthropists in the spare parts business.

At a brief ceremony to officially open the drainage system, Chairman of the Association, Henry Okyere Jnr. quoted the cost of the project as ¢30,000.00.

This included cost of chippings, hiring of machines and labour.

The construction of the drainage took two weeks to complete.

On his part, the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary (NPP) Aspirant for Ablekuma Central, Jefferson Sackey, lauded the leadership for a good work done.

Jefferson who doubles as Deputy Director of Communications at the presidency, Jubilee House reiterated government’s commitment to improve the bad road networks in the municipality.

He also pledged his continual support for other projects in the area when need be.
