Chairman Wontumi addressing the press
THE ASHANTI Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to start the Suame Interchange project.
According to him, there is a clarion call among the people of the Ashanti Region for the capital-intensive project to start before the 2024 elections.
“As the NPP regional chairman this is what our people are demanding. Asanteman eagerly wants the Suame Interchange project before the 2024 general elections”, Antwi Boasiako pointed out.
Nicknamed ‘Wontumi’, the Ashanti Regional NPP chairman said the people of Asanteman and the Ashanti Regional NPP executives are behind President Akufo-Addo to deliver the Suame Interchange.
Mr. Antwi Boasiako, who was addressing a press conference in Kumasi on Monday, said the NPP government has done a good job to improve the infrastructural base of the Ashanti Region, especially in the road and other key sectors.
He said anybody who would accuse the NPP administration of doing little for Asanteman was just doing propaganda just to dent the image of the government, saying “Ashanti Region has not been neglected”.
He therefore entreated the citizenry to have faith in the NPP administration, especially President Akufo-Addo, as his NPP government is working hard and doing its utmost best to turn the economy around.
