Stonebwoy To Rock Celebrity Workout

Former Skipper of Black Stars, Stephen Appiah, ‘Kpok?k?’ hitmaker Stonebwoy and actor Prince David Osei are set to lead other celebrities in this year’s ‘Celebrity Workout’, which is scheduled for this  Saturday.

Put together by Primeval Media Ghana Limited, the event is expected to attract some great personalities in the country’s entertainment, football and business industries for an aerobics session.

It will start at 6:00am prompt at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra.

Head of social media at Primeval Ghana Limited, Fred Ackumey, told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS in an interview that “all preparations have been done to ensure a successful programme.”

He said the workout session is aimed at inculcating the habit of exercise and staying fit at all times.

“We also intend to use this workout as a platform to bring celebrities closer to their fans, all in the supreme interest of peace and national cohesion,” he added.

Touching on why the programme has celebrities headlining it, Mr. Ackumey explained that celebrities have a major fan base across the country and are influential, hence banking hopes on them would have a major impact of driving home the “need to exercise, burn calories and socialise.”

The workout session, according to him, will attract over 1,500 patrons.

This year’s workout is sponsored by ladies’ clothing and sportswear dealer, Beautiful Beneath, Agricultural Development Bank, Royce Energy Drink, Aegis (health provider and medical supplies outfit), TCL (home appliance dealers) and Bethel Logistics.

Some of the celebrities who will take part in this workout are Efia Odo, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal and Shaker.

The rest are musician Kojo Cue, Rosemond Brown, Salma Mumin, Benedicta Gafah, DKB, Kalybos, Bismarck The Joke, Lekzy Decomic, ‘Kejetia Lawyer’ Ntim and Comedian Waris.

Others are Wendy Shay, Gasmilla, Jackie Appiah, Chriskata, Gloria Sarfo, Moesha Buduong, Bisa Kdei, Derek Boateng, Afia Schwarzenegger, Article Wan, Countryman Songo, Kwabena Kwabena, Okyeame Kwame and Yvonne Nelson.
