TCCCU Donates Math Sets To NOBISCO Students

The management of the Tamale Community Cooperative Credit Union (TCCCU) has donated 500 mathematical sets to students of the Northern School of Business (NOBISCO) in Tamale.

The donation is part of the union’s support for the school following a January fire that displaced about 900 female students. The fire gutted the top floor of the girls’ dormitory, which accommodated students from four houses.

At a brief ceremony on the school premises, TCCCU Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Akaare, said the mathematical sets were donated to help the students, especially final-year candidates.

“Management of TCCCU decided to donate the mathematical sets because they will aid the students, especially the final year students to perform well in their WASSCE,” he said.

He encouraged the students not to give up because of the fire outbreak, and urged them to concentrate on their studies to achieve good results.

Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Musah Yakubu, thanked TCCCU for the timely donation, noting that some students will be sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in April, and that the mathematical sets will be very helpful.

He added that the fire had greatly affected the students, including the loss of learning materials, and appealed to the public as well as other institutions to support the school.
