Techiman Omanhene Goes For Bono East Council Of State

The Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area, Oseadeeyo Akumfi Ameyaw, has duly filed his nomination papers to contest for the Member of the Council of State for the Bono East Region.

Nana Ameyaw, a lawyer, banker, administrator and one of the highly respected paramount chiefs in the country, is optimistic of winning the contest because of his track record.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE in an exclusive interview, the soft spoken traditional ruler said “the time has come for every shoulder to be put on the wheels to help the President realize his dream of making Ghana great.”

According to Nana Ameyaw, his decision to contest for the position is to contribute his quota in nation building as a traditional ruler.

He said he was qualified in all aspects to advise the President on pertinent issues and hope the Electoral College would give him the nod to serve the nation in that capacity.

He admonished his fellow contestants to eschew mudslinging and insults since such behaviour would not arguer well for anyone.

Nana Ameyaw holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the Ghana Law School, LLB (HONS), University of Ghana; Educative Masters in Business Administration, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Ghana; Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration (CPA) and BSC (HONS), Dip. Ed, University of Cape Coast.

He is currently the Western Regional Manager, Chief Manager Grade, at the Takoradi branch of the Ghana Commercial Bank.
