A commercial sex worker, who intended to blackmail some residents at Awutu Beraku over GHC80, has met her untimely death after being ran over by a tipper truck.
The incident occurred at Triple X near Buduburam on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway in the Central Region when she sat in the middle of the highway, demanding money from some residents who separated a fight between her and a taxi driver, she hired and claimed that the driver had sex with her.
The deceased identified as Anabel, reportedly hired a taxi from Kasoa to Awutu Beraku to visit her customer, and upon arrival at Triple X, the deceased began to fight with the taxi driver after accusing him of having sex with her while refusing to pay.
The driver insisted the accusation was false because it was a ploy she was using so she would not pay the fare.
In the process, it turned out to be an argument, which drew the attention of the residents who rushed to the roadside to separate them.
The taxi driver angrily drove off, while the commercial sex worker sat in the middle of the road.
Anabel then asked those who separated them to pay GHC80, which she claimed was the amount she charged the driver since she insisted that the taxi driver has had sex with her.
But the residents ignored her, while she sat in the middle of the road and within some minutes, a tipper truck from Awutu Bereku ran over Anabel and smashed her head to death.
The body has been deposited at St. Gregory Hospital, while the driver of the tipper truck has been arrested and sent to Buduburam District Police, as the investigation is ongoing.
