TVET DG Readies For Offinso North Seat

The Director General (DG) of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, is lacing his boots to contest the upcoming Offinso North Constituency parliamentary primaries on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the Ashanti Region.

According to him, his proactive approach to community development and party contributions position him as a candidate with the foresight and dedication required to sustain the positive impact of the NPP in Offinso North Constituency.

He explained that his vision is to create a prosperous and inclusive Offinso North Constituency that thrives on its rich cultural heritage, agricultural abundance, and economic potential.

He said, “I envision a constituency where every resident enjoys a high quality of life, access to quality education and healthcare, and ample opportunities for economic growth. Offinso North will be a model of sustainable development, fostering a sense of unity and pride among its diverse population.”

He added, “My mission is to work tirelessly towards the realisation of our vision for Offinso North. I am committed to promoting agricultural development, agribusiness, and industrial growth to create jobs, improve incomes, and stimulate economic prosperity, investing in critical infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and public services, to improve accessibility, connectivity, and overall well-being of our constituents.”

As part of his efforts to create job opportunities for the constituents, he has so far established a foundation known as ‘No to No Foundation,’ through which a lot of the local youth have been sponsored to study assortment of skills in Accra.

He said, “As the Director General at the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), I have a deep understanding of education and training strategies. My pharmaceutical background further adds to my breadth of knowledge. I possess unparalleled and dynamic experience from both political and professional domains.”

Dr. Asamoah disclosed his support for some projects in the constituency such as; the Dwendabi School roofing project, Sewua Mfante roofing project, and Nkenkaasu mosque project among other projects, emphasising the holistic development of the constituency among others.

He is appealing to delegates to vote for him in the upcoming parliamentary primaries slated for January 27, 2024.

Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah holds a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA, a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Pembroke, USA.
