VGMA:Trigmatic Sure Of Winning Record Of The Year Award

Hiplife artiste and songwriter, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, known on stage as Trigmatic, has hinted that he is going to win the record of the year award at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) considering his amazing track record in the music industry.

According to him, even though there were some key contenders for the award, he is confident he will win the award with his song, ‘Diplomatic Teef’.

Ever since he joined the music industry, Trigmatic has been regarded as one of the greats in the rap music scene and has been very consistent with his style of music and stagecraft.

Some of the industry players who have worked with Trigmatic said that the rapper deserve the award because of his track records and recognition on the music scene.

They believe that the rapper who is competing in the category with Adomaa, Adina, Amaarae, Cina Soul, Epixode, Worlasi and YaaYaa, has a great chance of grabbing the award.

Speaking as a guest on ‘Simply Showbiz’, Trigmatic revealed that he is optimistic about grabbing the award.

Trigmatic, the brain behind the ‘Trigmatic Unplugged’, has worked with a number of music giants such as M.anifest, Obrafour, Rex Omar, Pop Skinny, Captain Planet, Becca and a host of others.

Some of artistes have also featured Trigmatic in most of their songs, as he has been widely acknowledged as a man of the moment.

He has won a number of awards which include Best Rapper of the Year in 2011, Record of the Year 2014 – Ghana Music Awards (GMA), Best Dancehall Song of the Year 2014 – Bass Awards, Best Special Effect Video – 4syte Music Video Awards, among others.

In 2014 Trigmatic launched his foundation, Matic Foundation, which supports many orphanages in Ghana.

He is the first to attempt a world record by creating the longest charity table to feed thousands in his country Ghana.

He’s currently running a music and educational programme for growing kids called Matic Music Club.  The club is into music research and therapy.

The club got volunteers from the EU to assist in new teaching skills and music therapy in May 2018 as part of the Global Leaders programme.
