THE VOLTA River Authority (VRA) took home five awards at the 2nd Ghana Procurement and Supply Chain Awards (GHAPSCA) held in Accra recently.
The award ceremony, which was organized by Distinct Wave, sought to honour and celebrate outstanding achievements of teams, stakeholders and individuals who have demonstrated unparalleled ability to succeed and continually set standards of excellence in the Procurement and Supply Chain profession.
The VRA won the Excellence in Public Procurement (Gold), Best in Public Procurement & Supply Chain Compliance (Gold), Innovative Use of Technology in Public Procurement and Supply Chain (Silver), Procurement & Supply Chain Team of the Year, Public Sector (Silver) and Public Sector Supply Chain Leadership Award – Ing. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa, CE – VRA
Ebenezer Tagoe, Deputy Chief Executive (Finance) was joined by Miriam Lartekai Darke, Director, Procurement; Dr. Mrs. I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng, Director, Human Resources, and some staff of the Procurement Department to collect the awards on behalf of the VRA.
The event was graced by high-profile personalities, including the Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement, Sarah Adwoa Safo, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority, and procurement professionals in both public and private practice.
