The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has confirmed that their intention of coming to power again is to take care of their members which he claims they failed previously only.
Chairman Ofosu Ampofo in a viral video was heard assuring members of his party that should Ghanaians vote for the party come 2024, they’ll prioritize the members in the sharing of the national cake.
He was emphatic “Let me say that I am the apostle for No Contribution, No Chop. Mr. President (referring to former President John Mahama who was sitting by him) has given me that office that I would supervise’.
“What we have done as NDC is that when we are in power, we think about Ghana too much and forget about ourselves so we are going to ensure that that system changes” he vowed at an outreach programme in the United States.
This follows a similar submission made by George Opare Addo, the party’s National Youth Organizer who said that NDC members would be the focus of a future party administration.
The National officers of the opposition NDC made this confession at a meeting held with some party members in the USA recently attended by John Mahama, where they were heard in the video articulating their views.
In the video, when the organizers of the forum realized Ofosu Ampofo had let the cat out of the bag, forced someone to mute the microphone but it was too late.
This tacitly reveals the mindset of the NDC who are angling to come back to power promising to change what they describe as the status quo with a new breath of life.
The NDC chairman’s words pointed out that they are not thinking about the welfare of Ghanaians but their members.
Meanwhile, some social media users have blasted the NDC leaders for such dishonorable intentions.
