This year’s GNPC Ghana Fastest Human’s train will stop at the Cape Coast Stadium this Saturday after a successful meet in Tamale a few weeks ago.
The forthcoming GNPC-sponsored event with support from GCB and Adidas will pit athletes from the Central and Western regions in U-10, U-15, U-18 and seniors categories against each other.
Founder of Ghana Fastest Human, Reks Brobby told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS, “We are ready for Saturday’s event, it was massive in Tamale and we hoping to replicate same show in Cape Coast. The response from the athletes has been positive. We are grateful to our sponsors who are making the dream of reviving athletics in schools a reality. We are only hoping for a good day a great performance. ”
The initiative which started in 2013 to restore dwindling fortunes in schools is supported by Indomie Instant Noodles, Moringa King, Global Media Alliance, Pipers Gym and Kryate Links.
It was also arranged to raise 100m runners for this year’s Olympics in Tokyo.
In June, all winners in the regional meet will battle for supremacy to determine this year’s Ghana’s fastest sprinter in Kumasi.
