A woman who accused Angel Asiamah, husband of Patricia Asiamah, of fathering a child with her during Agradaa’s imprisonment has retracted the claim, stating that it was fabricated for content.
The woman has since issued a public apology to Agradaa and her husband, admitting that the allegation was untrue.
Speaking on her behalf, the woman’s brother explained the circumstances that led to the accusation. He clarified that Angel Asiamah is not the father of the child, noting that the claim was created after some members of their community repeatedly remarked that the child bore a resemblance to Agradaa.
According to him, the situation escalated during a local funeral gathering, where a blogger present also commented on the child’s resemblance to Agradaa. This, he said, influenced the decision to create content around the claim.
“The truth is that Angel Asiamah is not the father of my sister’s daughter. Apparently, people living in this community have been saying that her daughter resembles Agradaa. I can also testify that the child looks like her, but we were having a funeral here, and a blogger who joined us also attested to the resemblance,” he explained.
Agradaa drew public attention on Monday after stating that she would pursue all legal avenues to obtain custody of the child if the woman maintained that her husband is the father.
