‘World Meets In Ghana’ Forum Bounces Back 2022

THE ‘World Meets in Ghana Investors’ Forum’ and ‘Executive Dinner Ball’ for this year (2021) has been postponed to August 2022, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it has officially been announced.

The 2022 event, to be held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, is expected to be an improvement of the maiden edition held in 2019 in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The next event, according to one of the key organisers, the E ON 3 Group, will be held under the theme ‘Exploring Investment Opportunities in Ghana as a Gateway to Africa,’ and is expected to be attended by top business executives, seasoned politicians, eminent traditional leaders and the clergy, among several other guests.

Forum Idea

This international business event has been designed to attract big business players worldwide to the numerous investment and business opportunities available in Ghana.

The idea is for participants of the important forum, which is strictly by invitation, to interact under one roof on business policies and programmes, as well as share positive ideas that generate business opportunities leading to wealth creation for the public.

Targeted Sectors For Forum

Key sectors targeted include Energy, Agribusiness, Oil and Gas, Mining and Quarrying, Banking and Finance, Aviation and Manufacturing.

Other sectors that will receive attention are Information (Media and IT), Real Estate Development, Business Process Outsourcing, Educational Services, Import/Export Wholesale and Retail Trade and Project Finance.

2019 Kumasi Event

The maiden edition of the elite event was held to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the enstoolment of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, occupant to Golden Stool of the Ashanti Kingdom.

The historic event was attended by 31 embassies in the country under the auspices of the E ON 3 Group, a leading business solution and investment firm and the Manhyia Palace.

As part of the preparations, the management of E ON 3 Group would be touring about 15 countries, including the US, Canada, UK, Germany, China, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, to promote the 2022 event.

Mr. Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori-Atta, the Executive Director of E ON 3 Group, the official event organisers, said the World Meets in Ghana Investors’ Forum and Executive Dinner Ball is an international event and would be used to showcase Ghana’s business potential.

Dr. Francis Ashong-Katai, the Project Coordinator of E ON 3 Group, said Ghana has reaped several benefits, following the first edition of the World Meets in Ghana Investors’ Forum and Executive Dinner Ball in 2019.

He touted Ghana as a stable country, with high democratic credentials, and with capacity globally to attract investors.

In addition, he pointed out, the siting of the headquarters of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Accra adds impetus to Ghana’s credentials.

Dr. Ashong-Katai noted that the E ON 3 Group has a strategic programme to make Ghana the gateway to Africa in the area of business and investments, stressing that his group’s positive plans for the country was on the right course.
