XEROX Holds Workshop On Smart Printing Solutions

DOCUTECH GHANA Limited, authorized local distributor of Xerox products, has held a two-day workshop on smart printing solutions for domestic, official and industrial purposes.

The workshop, held at the Marriott Hotel in Accra, was aimed at sharing practical insights on new printing technologies and digital software.

Dubbed: the “Xerox Find Your Solution Workshop” the forum featured leading Xerox global experts who engaged participants with the view of enabling business professionals to better compete in a rapidly changing business environment.

In his address, Jean Louis Feghali, Managing Director of Docutech, stressed the need for digitization, adding that the adoption of digitisation will lead to a high performing and more secure workplace in corporate and industrial institutions.

“A simplistic way to explain digital transformation is to state that if you want to go digital then you have to print less. To be able to print less you need to understand what you print. Then you have to understand why you print, whether necessary or not”, he stated.

He disclosed that the newly unveiled smart printing machines were powered by advanced technologies and software to insure comprehensive security [when dealing with sensitive data].

He also added that the newly unveiled products also allowed easy access to performance indicators and data related to device utilisation.

At the workshop, participants were taken through an inspection of some of the printers on exhibition and their features.

Some notable features of the new smart printers include intelligent workplace services, that offers more to the traditionally managed print services and Xerox’s latest workplace apps that support businesses ever-evolving needs; printing services for the education industry, where paperwork and document management are streamlined to better serve students as well as digital printing systems which comprise technologies that are revolutionising the book publishing supply chain by mitigating risk, speeding time-to-market, reducing waste and lowering fixed costs.

With the new smart printers, users can scan, save and print documents directly to and from their online storages such as Google Drive, Cloud etc.

The printers are also able to convert documents into English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Indian and German audio and sent directly into the mails of users; and are able to allow users block or hide certain confidential information of documents before printing.
