The much-awaited annual jazz concert dubbed ‘Keepin’ Jazz Alive’, with a Latin twist will take place this Sunday, July 21 at the Accra City Hotel from 6pm.

This edition of ‘Keepin’ Jazz Alive’ is expected to attract members of the Latin community, Spanish speakers, members of the diplomatic community as well as music lovers.

It is on the theme “Canciones en Español y Ingles,” meaning songs in Spanish & English.

Performance will be from singer and host of ‘Maximum Jazz’ radio show on Guide Radio 91.5 FM, Yomi Sower, who has been at the forefront of promoting Latin/Spanish music and entertainment both on stage and on the airwaves.

Yomi is noted for her regular performances of Spanish and Portuguese repertoire at the prestigious former Toro Tapas (Spanish) Restaurant and Little Havana (Cuban) Restaurant.

Yomi has also performed at events organised by the Embassy of Spain, including its national day, and Embassy of Brazil.

She recently delivered a world-class performance at this year’s Societé Generale Bank/Alliance Française Jazz Festival opening night to an audience made up of diplomats and corporate organisations.

The music show offers attendees a time of unwinding and networking within the comfort of the hotel’s Piano Lounge.
