Zlatan Ibile on stage
Nigerian performing artiste, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael known in the music scene as Zlatan Ibile, last Saturday thrilled music fans at musical concert held in Accra.
He shared the stage with a Ghanaian band made up of Ghanaians and Nigerians. There was a laid-back vibe, and the band played a variety of songs that music lovers enjoyed.
With the band, Zlatan, whose music has captured the hearts of Ghanaians, got things started while entertaining his adoring fans, who couldn’t help but sing and dance along.
The Nigerian rapper and singer, who won three major awards in one night at the AFRIMMA awards including best collaboration, best new act and song of the year, sang some his danceable hit songs such as “Zanku”, “Am I a Yahoo Boy”, “Kowope” and a host of others which left fans craving for more.
Zlatan demonstrated excellent showmanship as he encouraged audience to sing along with him during his performance on stage.
He was known for his dramatic blending of traditional rhythms and his contemporary expansions.
Songs that merge English and his native tongue demonstrate Zlatan’s ability to blend different rhythms in high scales and notes, creating works that showcase the elegance of fusing cross-cultural rhythms.
He didn’t leave anything to chance at the performance as he continuously performed hits for the assembled music enthusiasts.
The performances of Zlatan also made highlights, as a number of fans waved their hands to show appreciation to his stage performance.
