Sarkodie

Rapperholic Concert 2018

Rapperholic is an annual concert organised by BET award winner and rapper Sarkodie and his Sarkcess Music Company. The concert is to celebrate with the rapper’s followers every year on December 25. It is currently one of the biggest music events in Ghana since it started six years ago. It comes with a lot of excitement every year with several other big names in the music industry joining the multiple award-winning rappers to thrill hundreds of patrons who attend the concert.

It returns this year with big bang on Tuesday, December 25 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), where thousands of music fans are expected to ‘troop’ to for a lot of fun. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to have some great fun at Rapperholic 2018 if you are in Ghana.

Jidenna to perform at Ghana Rocks

Ghana Rocks is also an annual concert organised by Charterhouse, the biggest event company in Ghana and organisers of the prestigious Ghana Music Awards. It was introduced a decade ago to celebrate various musical acts. As the years went by, the concert grew to incorporate Ghanaian and other artistes who were making impacts globally.

Hence, it has over the years witnessed amazing performances from both home-based and visiting international acts.

This year’s concert will be held at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on Saturday, December 29. Among artistes billed for the event are Jidenna, an American singer, rapper and songwriter. There will also be performances from Burna Boy from Nigeria and Ghana’s R2Bees, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Kwesi Arthur, A.M.G. Medikal, Wendy Shay, DJ Black, DJ Vyrusky, among others. Decemba 2 Rememba

Decemba 2 Rememba is another major music concert organised by Accra-based radio station Citi FM as part of the Christmas festivities. It is described as arguably the most patronised end-of-year concert in Ghana. It was created in 2005 to give Ghanaians something to cheer about in December; its popularity has continued to soar with every passing year.

The concert will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on December 24, 2018. It will parade some of the crème de la crème of the music industry on stage to entertain music audience. Among them are Praye, Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Adina, Kidi and Tic. Others are Ponobiom, Wendy Shay, Sister Derby, Article Wan, Eddie Khae and comedian Bash from Nigeria. For the past years, Citi FM has been providing quality entertainment through the concert for revelers, particularly listeners and fans of the station. It is the only music show that has over the years kept its audience in a uniform attire of white top and jeans. Seize the opportunity to attend this concert if you are in Ghana.

Amakye Dede

Abrantie Amakye Dede is one of Ghana’s legendary highlife musicians. Over the years, he and his Apollo Hi-kings Band have held high life lovers across the globe spell-bound with his brand of music. He still remains one of Ghana celebrated brand of a long.

During the festive season, he will be celebrating his 45 years in the Ghanaian music industry with a musical concert scheduled for Saturday, December 29 at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi.

It is dubbed ‘Amakye Dede @ 45’ and it is the first of its kind.

The event is intended to be an annual concert to celebrate the music icon. This year’s event will feature artistes such as Kwaisey Pee, Sarkodie, Ofori Amponsah, Lilwin, K.K Fosu and a host of others. If you are Kumasi, don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this history.

Bhim Concert 2018

Bhim concert is staged annually by BET winner, Stonebwoy, every December to hang out with reggae and dancehall music lovers.  The event is one of the biggest concerts on Ghana’s entertainment calendar and there is a huge anticipation for this year’s event for different reasons. One of such is reports that Stonebwoy’s rival Shatta Wale is organising a thanksgiving concert the same day.  The other is Stonebwoy performing alongside 2016 Grammy winners, Morgan Heritage, on the night. The Bhim concert, powered by Livewire Events, will take place on December 28, 2018 at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, La. The concert will also feature other A-list artistes from Ghana such as Kwesi Arthur, Kelvyn Boy, Yaa Pono, Patapaa, Wisa and many others.

It is one of the biggest nights of the year and don’t miss it if you are in town.

Ghana Movie Awards 2018

The Ghana movie award is held annually to recognise excellence in the Ghanaian movie industry. Its first edition was held on December 25, 2010 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) and subsequently the date was changed due to conflict with other events in December.

However, the award has been put on hold after the 2016 ceremony when Zylofon Media took over the organisation in July 2017.

Late this year, original franchise holder, GP Productions Limited, came out with the announcement that it was going to organise the award in 2018. It has always been the biggest movie related red carpet event in December.

The event will come off on December 30 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel and broadcast to millions of TV viewers on the Africa continent. The ceremony is open to movie stakeholders, and tourists in town are welcomed.
