American hip-hop legend, 50 Cent, has paid tribute to former US President and Republican Party presidential candidate, Donald Trump, after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The rapper, who himself has survived several assassination attempts, honoured Trump by featuring his face on the cover of his iconic album ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ during a performance in Boston yesterday.

While performing his hit song ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’, 50 Cent displayed the altered album cover with Trump’s face in the background, eliciting cheers from the audience. This gesture highlighted the rapper’s solidarity with Trump in the wake of the attack.

According to reports, two people died after gunshots were fired at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The former president was rushed off stage by security staff amidst the chaos.

Associated Press reported that the FBI identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the “subject involved” in the attempted assassination of Trump. Security operatives neutralised the assailant during the incident.

The shocking events have cast a spotlight on the ongoing risks faced by political figures, with Trump expressing gratitude for the swift actions of his security team.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s tribute has added a unique cultural dimension to the political turmoil surrounding the incident.
