THE ATWIMA Mponua District Police Command has intensified search for unknown people who have murdered three people in the area, recently.
The police found three dead bodies in an uncompleted building at Kempe, the outskirts of Nyinahin, the district capital, some days ago.
The bodies were placed in different rooms and they had totally decomposed thereby making identification almost impossible when they were found.
The motive behind the weird killings is not known, but eye witnesses suspected the strange murders might be linked to rituals also known as ‘Sakawa’.
ASP Ambrosse Aboagye, the District Police Commander, stated that the police are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to arrest the killers to face the law.
According to him, some people reported to the police that they had seen three dead bodies in an uncompleted building.
The police, ASP Aboagye said, went to the scene and to their horror, the three bodies, which were decomposed, were found lying in the building.
According to him, the bodies were decomposed to the extent that it was almost impossible for anybody to identify them.
The police capo said on Nhyira FM that it was possible that the three people were killed somewhere and their bodies dumped in the building adding that there had not been any reported case of missing persons at Nyinahin and its immediate environs in recent times.
ASP Aboagye assured that the police would do everything possible to arrest the culprits.
He urged the public, especially people that have vital information, to feed the police with it to assist in the arrest of the culprits.
