Chemphe
Music sensation Chemphe is back after a perceived hiatus from the music scene.
The secular musician turned gospel act is out with an afrobeat gospel single titled, ‘Conqueror’ (He lives in me).
The song praises the goodness of God as he affirmed his trust in Jesus Christ.
It also offers hope and encourages children of God to stand firm in their beliefs. Whatever they go through, they are still conquerors.
The danceable and head-nodding song creates the mood for a groove. Also, the perfect vocal diversity from the gospel star made the song come alive.
Chemphe released the song on November 12 and has since been enjoying some level of airplay in the gospel sector of the music industry.
“I pray this song blesses and empowers you,” the silky voice musician said when he shared links of the song from Spotify.
Chemphe announced he has rebranded from Chemphe to Israel Chemphe with the song’s release.
In 2018, the musician, real name Henry Agyekum-Chemphe, made a surprise U-turn from his thought-provoking urban life music to gospel music.
“I was born with the gift of singing and I want to pursue that vision because that is what has been bubbling in me ever since I can remember,” he said at the time before he released his first gospel single ‘Mi Do Yesu’. In 2019, he released ‘Woko’ (Your Battle) which revealed different worship and praise aspect of him. During the heat of the coronavirus pandemic, he released the song titled, ‘Freedom’ to give hope to Christians. But he has since been quiet on the scene until now that he is back with ‘Conqueror’.
