A Happy Surprise is a Christian themed movie that features an impressive cast of Adjetey Anang, Prince David Osei, Diana Gbatey, Kalybos, Amanda Jissih, Paulina Oduro and Martha Ankomah among others.

The movie also has other surprises as top musicians Joe Mettle and Diana Hopeson made their debut on the screens.

The movie is Martha’s first attempt at going behind the cameras to produce, several years after gracing the silver screens as a successful and award-winning actress.

The new movie is anticipated to channel a whole new path for the ‘Somewhere In Africa’ actress.

Over the past few years, with a quest to create seminal cinematic works and keep the industry movie on its ‘feet’, some actresses have taken matters into their own hands, stepping behind the camera and embracing roles as writers, producers, and even directors.

By leveraging on their name recognition and influence, these women have been exercising greater control over the projects they bring to life, overseeing them from inception to distribution and breaking records with their works.

Martha has joined the tall list of some of these women including actresses; Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Lydia Forson, Joselyn Dumas, Zynnell Zuh, Kafui Danku, Juliet Ibrahim, Nadia Buari,  Selassie Ibrahim, Mercy Asiedu, and Emelia Brobbey among others.
