Mohammed Kudus
Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus is to join his teammates in Cameroon this week ahead of the next match.
The black Stars will be facing Gabon on Friday before Comoros.
Information gathered by DGN Online indicates Ajax medics have given the green light and the club may release Mohammed Kudus to Ghana on Wednesday.
Ghana FA already preparing for his flight to Cameroon.
Already, Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac, says he expects Ajax midfielder, Kudus Mohammed to join up with his Ghana teammates.
The 21-year-old midfielder has not linked up with the Ghana team despite being named in the 28-man squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana arrived in Cameroon on Saturday night, still without the former Right to Dream Academy starlet, who is currently with club side Ajax Amsterdam in a mid-season training tour of Portugal.
He is recovering from an injury he picked up against South Africa in November last year in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.
“Kudus got injured in our last game against SA, he started training recently with his club (Ajax) so we are expecting him to join us in the coming days, a week’s time when he is fully fit and hopefully we can count on him as the tournament progresses,” Ghana coach, Milovan Rajevac said in the pre-game press conference.
Ghana was walloped by Morocco on Monday in their opening game of the competition.
The Black Stars are looking to end a 40 year wait for the AFCON trophy, last winning the competition in 1982.
