Alan Kyeremanten
ALAN KYEREMATEN, Minister of Trade and Industry, has appealed to delegates who will be voting between today and Sunday to elect national executives for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and lead it into the 2024 polls, to ensure that they choose people who are loyal and prepared to work for the good of the party.
“We should vote for the best hands who are able to manage the affairs of the party and not be blinded by mantras, money, or anything that only brings transient satisfaction,” Mr. Kyerematen said.
The minister also prayed the delegates to vote for executives whom members of the party could take pride in at all times.
Mr. Kyerematen, who sounded particular about the calibre of people whom delegates would elect, said such persons should be able to work to uplift the party, adding that “the unity of the party must be guarded with all our heart and with all our might.”
According to him, the party is ready to work with all those who will be elected by the rank and file of the party, “and will not forget the toil of those who may not emerge as victors in the elections.”
Making reference to Woodrow Wilson, who said “We cannot be separated in interest or divided in purpose. We stand together until the end,” he opined that the party was bent on uniting its members for victory in the 2024 elections because, it was only the NPP that could help Ghana come out of the woods and set it on a path of economic growth and development.
