Saviour Adzika Honoured

Saviour Kwaku Adzika, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, has won the ultimate award at the fifth edition of Fontomfrom Amandze Awards which came off last Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Raybow Hotel in Takoradi.

At the awards ceremony, Mr. Adzika was honoured with the Social Responsibility Person of the Year award.

The hiplife artiste, known in the music scene as Sayvee, is the Chief Executive Officer of Corpnation Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of empowering the youth.

This is the second time the artiste is receiving this honorary award from the scheme after his debut honorary award in 2021.

Presenting the award to Sayvee, Awulae Attibrukusu III, Paramount Chief of Lower Axim Traditional Area said: “I will make this comment that with this man, Saviour Adzika standing before me, I can come out with my chest out that whatever Fontomfrom is doing is the right thing because I know this young man very well and a lot has been done by him. For him to win this award, I will say, Fontomfrom, y3 ma hom ayekoo.”

Mr. Adzika won the ultimate honorary award of the night, ‘Omanbapa,’ an acknowledgment of the results that he has achieved out of the varied sustainable and impactful community-led projects to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 13 – the need to take urgent action to combat climate change.

In an acceptance speech, Mr. Adzika said: “A moral lesson here for me is that we the youth especially ought to identify alternative doors and knock on them when the doors on which we knock don’t get open. Hitherto at Western Music Awards, I’d receive middle rating awards but in the scheme of making impacts through direct community-led initiatives and projects, I’m being honoured the ultimate award at such a highly prestigious awards event. I cannot fail to acknowledge the Grace of God, that amazing experience that I’ve always had as I walk in faith. This is where I refer you to Philippians 4:13.”

He dedicated both awards to his late parents and acknowledged his wife’s support towards his dreams.
