EIB ‘Clears’ Serwaa On Leaked Sex Video

The parent company of GHOne TV, EIB Network, has officially absolved their presenter, Serwaa Amihere, of any wrongdoing in connection with a leaked video featuring her and a man known as Henry Fitz.

The video, which surfaced on social media and caused a stir, sparked speculations about its origins dating back to 2019, before Fitz’s marriage.

EIB Network had initially announced plans to conduct an internal investigation into the video’s release.

After a meticulous inquiry, the network released a statement on July 5, 2024, affirming that Serwaa Amihere had not violated any codes of conduct or protocols regarding the video.

The statement also mentioned the network’s commitment to collaborating with law enforcement to ensure justice prevails.

“At the end of a thorough and impartial investigation, the committee found no form of misconduct or breaches on the part of Serwaa Amihere in the circulation of the said video.

“Criminal proceedings initiated by the state against those believed to have unlawfully published the video are ongoing. We remain committed to cooperating with authorities to ensure that justice is served,” part of the statement read.

It will be recalled that earlier in April, the Ghana Police Service had taken legal action against three individuals accused of sharing the intimate video involving the broadcast journalist.

In her statement shared on social media, Serwaa expressed regret for the distress caused to her family, colleagues, and associates by the video’s circulation.

She disclosed that the video was recorded five years ago, and highlighted the challenges she faced dealing with threats and extortion leading up to its release.

Despite the ordeal, Serwaa acknowledged the valuable lessons learned from the incident, emphasising personal growth and resilience in the face of adversity.
