A video in circulation has sparked controversy, suggesting that highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, may have snubbed fellow musician Ofori Amponsah during his 60th birthday celebration.
The incident reportedly took place as Ofori Amponsah took the stage to deliver a tribute to Daddy Lumba before the legend made his entrance.
During the tribute, Ofori Amponsah praised Daddy Lumba as a mentor and father figure, expressing deep admiration.
“Before my father comes on stage, I’d like to say something. My father, Daddy Lumba, was more than a prophet. From the moment he saw me, he told me I was a star. Daddy, I love you so much,” Ofori Amponsah stated.
However, as Ofori Amponsah spoke, a member of Daddy Lumba’s team interrupted, signaling that the highlife icon was ready to take the stage.
When Daddy Lumba finally arrived, Ofori Amponsah knelt in respect and attempted to hug him, but Lumba allegedly avoided the embrace.
The legend then whispered something to his team member, who promptly ushered Ofori Amponsah off the stage, effectively cutting short the tribute.
