Performing at the just ended ATU Akwaaba night on campus, Kweku Smoke expressed gratitude to the students’ community, emphasising that their support over the years have projected his craft as one of the most sought-after rap artistes.

“If not you, my fans, my mom will starve; if not you people streaming my music, I’m grateful. I am forever ready to support any youth empowerment programmes the university community will undertake.

The rapper responded to an appeal made by Reginald Jojo Gwira, an Engineering student at KNUST, on Twitter, saying, “I will pay it “. This generous act has earned Kweku Smoke widespread admiration on social media, with many praising him for using his platform to make a difference.

Emerging in 2019, he quickly gained attention with hits like ‘Yedin’ (featuring Sarkodie), and is recognised for his contributions to contemporary Ghanaian hip-hop as well as winning awards like Best Rap Performance.
