The Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Communications Africa Ltd (Stratcomm Africa), Esther A.N. Cobbah, has been honoured by the Ghana Employers’ Association (GEA) for her outstanding contribution to leadership development and the advancement of women in leadership.
The recognition was presented at the 5th GEA Annual Leadership Conference held in Accra. Ms. Cobbah was celebrated for her exceptional dedication and service as Facilitator of the GEA NHO Female Future Programme, a leadership initiative that equips women with the principles, skills, including confidence, and organisational savyness required to excel in leadership positions.
Since 2019 and over the course of ten cohorts, Ms. Cobbah has played a significant role in shaping the leadership journeys of close to 500 female professionals, thus, helping to strengthen female representation in decision-making spaces across Ghana and other countries in Africa. She has systematically taken them through leadership and Rhetoric modules.
Through her facilitation, mentorship and practical leadership insights, she has contributed to building a pipeline of confident and capable women leaders who continue to make meaningful contributions within their organisations and society in general.
Receiving the recognition. Ms Cobbah said she dedicates the award to Ms. Yvonne Asare Yeboah, who has been the pillar of the Female Future Programme in Ghana since its inception.
As Founder of Stratcomm Africa Ms. Cobbah has led the growth of this company into the country’s premier strategic communications consultancy and an agency respected on the continent and indeed globally. Ms. Cobbah is currently the President of the International Public Relations Association and also President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana.
The honour from the Ghana Employers’ Association reflects not only Ms. Cobbah’s personal commitment to developing others, but also the values that underpin Stratcomm Africa’s work. It demonstrates the importance of investing in people, creating opportunities for growth and using leadership as a tool for positive change.
