Forms Capital, Design Junkies, Socialite AF Sign Fintech Innovations MOU

The partners after signing the MoU

Forms Capital Limited, the Design Junkies and Socialite AF Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to organise the fourth edition of Hack54.

Hack 54 is a 48-hour user experience focused fintech hackathon aimed at empowering young graduates to develop solutions to address challenges within the financial sector.

According to the organisers, the event is scheduled to take place from July 14 to 17, 2026, at the Google Community AI Centre in Accra.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Founder of Design Junkies, Samuel Allotey, said participants who are graduates would compete in teams of three and would be required to develop practical solutions within 48 hours to solve problems in areas such as agribusiness payment systems, youth banking solutions and financial services for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).

According to him, participating teams will pitch their solutions before a panel of judges, who will assess the projects based on innovation, feasibility and potential impact.

He noted that Forms Capital, a key player in the fintech and digital assets ecosystem, would provide participants with access to industry expertise, business opportunities and long-term support.

Co-founder of Socialite AF Limited, Klenam Fiadzo, said the partnership reflected a shared commitment to youth empowerment and innovation.

Mr. Fiadzo described Hack54 as not merely a competition, but an event that provides a platform for participants to develop solutions with the potential to gain international recognition and build sustainable businesses.

He added that, unlike previous editions that focused primarily on university students, this year’s event is targeted at graduates and young professionals preparing to enter the job market.

“Any organisation that focuses on young people is a forward-thinking organisation. We have worked closely with Design Junkies for more than a year, and we are excited to welcome Forms Capital into the partnership. Together, we hope to elevate Hack54 to an even higher level,” he said.

Head of Business Development at Forms Capital, Ishmael Abbey, said the company viewed the partnership as an opportunity to support innovative ideas that may require financial support.

He noted that technology continues to create opportunities for young people to develop solutions to address challenges facing various sectors of the economy particularly the youth.

Mr. Abbey further indicated that Forms Capital was open to exploring future investment opportunities in promising solutions developed through the hackathon to create meaningful impact.
