Access Bank Ghana has entered into an agreement with Mac Autos & Spare Parts Ghana Ltd and MG Auto Trading Ghana Ltd. to increase vehicle ownership for customers.

Per the agreement, Access Bank will facilitate vehicle purchase from Mac Autos by providing an up-front loan for its customers.

Access Bank Group Head for Business Banking Kafui Bimpe, speaking at the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing in Accra said, transportation, an indispensable facet of human existence, often presents challenges for individuals and families alike.

“Everybody wants to buy a new car, but how to get the money to buy the new car is so difficult.

That’s why we are entering into this partnership to provide that funding so that they will be able to acquire new cars,” he said.

Mr. Bimpe said the alliance attests to the bank’s commitment to addressing the mobility needs of its customers thus going beyond banking.

“We came into this partnership because we will be able to negotiate a good deal for customers to be able to get them discounts,” he noted.

Mr. Bimpe further observed that customers working in the public and private sector can access the loan adding, “Mac Autos will be offering 10% discount and we are going to give our customers a competitive interest rate,” he said.

“We envision a future wherein the convenience of owning a vehicle is within grasp for a broader spectrum of Ghanaians, propelling progress and prosperity,” he added.

Country Head, Mac Autos, Raman Malhotra, said the company brings to the table a legacy of excellence as the exclusive distributors of Isuzu and Chevrolet cars in the country.

“With a storied heritage dating back to 1924, our steadfast dedication to quality has cemented our reputation as a household name in the automotive industry. It is with immense pride that we embark on this collaborative venture with Access bank,” he said.

He indicated that the collective objective is to offer Ghanaians a safer, swifter, and more economical mode of transportation.
