The MTN Ghana Foundation has announced the appointment of Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang, as a jury member for the seventh edition of its flagship initiative, Heroes of Change.
This programme aims to recognise and celebrate individuals who are making significant contributions to their communities.
Adjetey Anang joins an esteemed panel which includes media personality Oheneyere Gifty Anti and Rev. Albert Ocran, tasked with evaluating and selecting this year’s nominees.
In his virtual acceptance speech, Adjetey Anang expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the programme.
“I am very honoured to join the season seven edition of the MTN Heroes of Change programme. This is a great platform that seeks to unearth the change-makers in the country,ā he stated.
He emphasised the MTN Ghana Foundation’s commitment to harnessing the transformative power of giving back to society.
He said over the years, the Foundation has addressed critical social challenges and empowered individuals to achieve their full potential.
“I pledge to contribute my knowledge and expertise to the selection process for this year’s winners,” Adjetey Anang added.
The unveiling took place during a launch event for the seventh edition of MTN Heroes of Change, held yesterday in Accra.
Since its inception in 2007, the MTN Ghana Foundation has invested 106 million cedis in over 166 major projects across education, health, and economic empowerment, directly impacting approximately 4.5 million people and countless others indirectly.
The Heroes of Change initiative continues to spotlight unsung heroes who embody selflessness, innovation, and resilience, inspiring others to take action and effect positive change in their communities.
