Ahlunsunna Muslims Observe Eid-ul-Fitr

Alhunsunna Muslims in Ghana joined millions of Muslims across the world to mark this year’s Eid-Ul Fitr at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra yesterday.

Led by the head of the sect, Sheikh Umar Ibrahim, the congregants offered prayers to Allah to bless all Muslims in Ghana, Africa and the world at large.

In attendance were Zongo chiefs, Ulamas, Imams among others.

In his address, the leader of the Alhusunna Muslims in Ghana, Sheikh Umar Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for protecting them throughout the period of fasting and prayers.

He urged Muslims not to forgo the values inculcated into them during Ramadan.

Sheikh Umar Ibrahim charged all Muslims to be upright in their dealings with mebers of other faith so as to avoid religious conflicts and upheavals.
