Ya Na Abukari Mahama
The Overlord of Dagbon , Ya Na Abukari Mahama II, has condemned the killing of the police woman at Malshegu in the Kumbungu district of the Northern region, calling for the arrests of those who killed her.
The Dagbon Overlord extended his condolences to the family of the murdered Corporal Agartha Nana Nabia.
The Officer was ruthlessly murdered in the course of duty.
According to him, the barbaric incident and similar ones elsewhere were a source of worry, that ought to be professional investigated to bring the perpetrators to book.
He urged the Northern Regional Police Command to ensure that any persons arrested in connection with the murder of the police woman should face the law to serve as an example to criminal elements in the region.
Following the gruesome killing of the female police officer at a checkpoint on the Kumbungu-Tamale road , four suspects were arrested after a special police operation.
In the process, one of the suspects sustained injuries during the operation to arrest him and his accomplices.
Earlier, a bounty of GH¢10,000 was announced for information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects; it is unknown though, whether the success of the police operation was as a result of a tip-off by a whistleblower.
