Saboba-Gushegu Water Problem To End In November- Nana Addo

President Akufo-Addo has assured residents of Gushegu and Saboba in the Northern region that the issue of water crisis in the areas will be a thing of the past by ending of November 2019.

“Running water will be at homes of residents in Gushegu and Saboba by the end of November 2019,” he said.

The President on Thursday, August 15, 2019, inspected ongoing water projects in Saboba and Gushegu.

The ongoing rehabilitation and expansion of the Gushegu water system is estimated to cost GH¢ 9.5 million.

He also inspected the construction of a smock weaving center in Gushegu.

He indicated that the smock industry in Gushegu has made the area famous, making the district a tourist attraction.

The President urged residents to keep on with the good job.

The Paramount Chief of the Gushegu Traditional Area, Naa Abdulai Shitobu I, lauded Akufo Addo’s administration for the massive developmental projects in the area.

Gushegu Naa said projects such as the constructions of CHPS Compounds, 1V1D, Gushegu Smock Weaving Centre and the implementation of the Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs policies have been littered across the municipality.

He appealed to government to complete GETFUND projects in the Gushegu municipality.
