Ayawaso Probe: Sam George Tenders In 27 Ammunition Casings

Sam George

MEMBER OF Parliament for Ningo-Prampram Constituency (MP), Sam George, has tendered in evidence 27 shield casings believed to have been picked up on the spot where the shooting incident occurred on the day of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency by-election.

Out of the 27 casings, 18, according to the MP, were nine millimetre shield casings.

Mr. George tendered the ammunition casings in to the Emile Short Commission on Monday, February 25, 2019, when he appeared before it to give his testimony.

He claimed that the casings were picked up from the spot of the shooting incident by some individuals and were given to him.

He did not state who those individuals were and why they submitted the casings to him.

But he argued that it is only the operatives of the National Security that were shooting innocent Ghanaians on the day of the by-election.

The shooting incident, he said, was from only one direction.

On January 31, 2019, there was a reported shooting incident at the residence of Delali Kwasi Brempong, the parliamentary candidate of the NDC during the by-election won by NPP’s Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
