Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia on Tuesday attended the inauguration of Dr. Willian Samoei Ruto, as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya.
Dr. William Ruto, until his election on 15th August 2022, served as a two-term Deputy President in Kenya from 2012-2022.
The event which was attended by many African heads of state was a colorful and moving ceremony that further entrenched the democratic credentials of Kenya.
On Wednesday, Dr. Bawumia met with President Ruto at the Kenya State House on his first day at work and had fruitful discussions on deepening the economic cooperation between Ghana and Kenya.
His wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia also had a fruitful meeting with her friend, the First Lady of Kenya, Rachel Ruto.
The Vice President who announced this in a post on his Facebook page congratulates President Ruto, Her Excellency Rachel Ruto (First Lady), H.E Rigathi Gachagua (Deputy President), and Her Excellency Mrs. Dorcas Rigathi (Second Lady). May the good Lord protect and guide them as they begin their term of office.
