Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and Simon Osei Mensah
THE BOSOMTWE District Assemby has lauded President Akufo-Addo for honouring the district.
According to the assembly, two sons of the district have been appointed to serve in the NPP government.
They are Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education.
Mr. Mensah was retained by the President as Ashanti Regional Minister after his excellent performance, while Mr. Adutwum was elevated from Deputy Education Minister to a substantive minister following his good works.
Lawyer Joseph Kwasi Asuming, the Bosomtwe DCE, said his district could not have asked for more.
He said the Ashanti and Education ministries were two sensitive and respected ministries in any government in the country.
For President Akufo-Addo to give those two top positions to Bosomtwe natives, he said, “It is very significant.”
Lawyer Asuming, who is a tax expert, having worked with GRA for almost 31 years, said “thank you Mr. President.”
He said Messrs Mensah and Adutwum were competent so they would live up to the high expectations.
