Okyeame Oduefuor Nana Asabre Pinamang swearing his traditional oath at the ceremony

Oduefuor Nana Asabre Pinamang, a broadcast journalist, has been enstooled as a linguist (Okyeame) of Apinkra in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region.

The chief of Apinkra, Obrempong Baafour Darkwa III, and his elders decided to honour the broadcast journalist following his exemplary works and respect for tradition.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by a number of people, which included politicians, journalists, traditional leaders and people from different backgrounds.

The management and staff of OTEC FM in Kumasi, where Oduefuor Nana Asabre Pinamang plies his trade, were also present.

Okyeame Oduefuor Nana Asabre Pinamang, in his acceptance speech, commended his overlord, the Apinkra chief, for honouring him with the enviable traditional stool.

He promised to use his wide connections as a media person to attract the needed transformation into the community, calling for support from all and sundry.

Obrempong Baafour Darkwa III stated that Okyeame Oduefuor Nana Asabre respects tradition “and I have decided to honour him.”

He said the area lacks key amenities such as potable drinking water, school and others, indicating that it is his wish that the newly enstooled linguist would help to address them.
