The late Sergeant Kwame Baidoo
A POLICE officer in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, has been found dead in his bathroom, sparking sad reactions from his colleagues.
Sergeant Kwame Baidoo of the Suntreso District Police Headquarters was found lying unconscious in his bathroom by his wife, also a police officer.
Sergeant Agnes Osei Konadu, the wife, according to a police report sighted by the paper, raised an alarm so she was assisted to rush her husband to the hospital.
Unfortunately, Sergeant Baidoo was reported pronounced dead upon arrival at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he was rushed for medical care.
The police report said Sergeant Agnes Konadu returned from night duty on Monday, June 14, 2021 around 6:30am to find her husband lying unconscious in the bathroom.
The couple live at Adankwame, so Sergeant Agnes Konadu quickly rushed to the Adankwame Police Station and lodged a complaint.
“Detectives from Adankwame Police Station visited the house, rushed Sergeant Baidoo to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
“The body was inspected and deposited at the same hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy”, the police report said.
The autopsy was not ready when the story was being filed.
