Court Remands Showboy For Two Weeks

Showboy

The Adenta Circuit Court has remanded musician Showboy for an additional two weeks after he arrived late for his scheduled hearing on February 12, 2026.

Earlier reports indicated that, the court adjourned proceedings and ordered that the musician remain in custody as investigations continue.

Showboy’s court appearance follows his arrest over alleged blackmail and defamatory conduct directed at entrepreneur and music executive David Mensah, popularly known as Davido GH.

Prosecutors claim the rapper threatened to release sensitive information about Davido GH unless certain demands were met.

The controversy escalated weeks ago when CID officers attempted to arrest Showboy at his residence. Videos of the tense standoff circulated widely online, capturing the musician questioning the legality of the arrest and demanding to see a warrant.

He was eventually arrested on February 4 and arraigned before the court, which ordered a psychiatric evaluation. After being declared mentally fit, he was returned to custody.

He remains under police supervision as the case continues.
